Sad about Lee Min Ho saying goodbye to K-drama land to fulfill his military duties?
He is set to start this May 12. Reports said the Hallyu star was assigned to public service worker duties because of his injuries from car accidents in 2006 and 2011.
While he is preparing for military service, let us prepare a list of K-dramas for our Lee Min Ho marathon that we can do for 21 to 24 months:
1. Boys Over Flowers
This is the drama that started it all. Lee Min Ho made Go Jun Pyo come to life!
He played a faithful warrior who time-traveled from 1300s Korea to the 21st century to find a doctor who could heal the Queen he’s serving. And look! A bearded, stache’d Lee Min Ho!
3. City Hunter
Lee Min Ho played the fighter Yoon Sung well, who’s out for revenge for his surrogate father’s sake, but who’s also torn by the innocence and courage of Park Min Young’s Kim Na Na. And their onscreen chemistry even translated into something offline, although they broke up.
Yes, his Engrish might not be perfect, but he played the brooding and privileged Kim Tan.
5. Personal Taste
This is also a personal favorite as Lee Min Ho played the fun, gay (but secretly straight) architect Jeon Jin Ho.
6. Legend of the Blue Sea
Would you fall for Dam Ryeong’s charms too, not knowing he’s a con-artist? And the kissing scenes have created excitement among K-drama fans, who are used to the tame type of kisses. Lee Min Ho sure knows how to kiss. As one blogger put it, he knows how to “eat his co-star’s face” during a kissing scene.
